updated 26/10 to include multi-select lists
Summary of Changes
Increase the target size for the remove X to 24px
Prevent the target of the link and the X from overlapping

and not included in the report but reported correctly by @exlemor the same problem occurs on multi-select lists such as tags or list filters
Testing Instructions
This is an scss change so it requires either a prebuilt package or npm i
apply the pr and them using the browser tools select the button and check its dimensions
do the same for the text
I dont think this will touch any other areas of the ui but check

1 question: I came across another 'Remove item in dropdown sections that is even smaller at 18px' and this is not affected/fixed by this fix, assuming it's out of this PR's scope?
IF you go to Content -> Article -> Filter Options -> in the Select Category dropdown, choose say Uncategorised (assuming you have Sample Data installed or equivalent), the x next to Uncategorised is 18px

yes out of scope - please open an issue for it - another accessibility error that the STF funded report completely missed!!
Nice work, Brian. Will record the successful test in a moment. Just wanted to bring something up that's unrelated to this successful PR but touches the same control.
Noticing when I pull in the control to a different viewport size, the "...tags" text overlaps the dropdown control, changing the clickable area and of course impacting readability.
