I could not reproduce the error mentioned in #44221, but could reproduce tht error on #46496.

✅ Final test before merge with JBT
- Installed Blog Sample Data
- Seen error
Uncaught TypeError: mm.addEventListener is not a functionin JS console before PR - Applied PR with Patch Tester and
npm run build:js - Clicking outside menu now closes the menu and no JS error anymore
- Dropdown menu items are usable, sub-sub-menu items are usable
- Opened sub-sub-menu item and cklicking outside closes the menu w/o JS error
