This should be done against 4.4 and then this code in https://github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/blob/4.4-dev/tests/System/support/commands.js#L16 can be removed too.

4.4 can be upgraded when the cypress tests working again. atm cypress-joomla seems to be broken

Tests fail, could it be that on new install the stats message is no longer showing?
I tested the install manually, the statistics message appears and the class name is correct...
However, there is a javascript error in template.min.js, which is probably the cause of the fail
