Fix languagecode has to be 2 letters like en or de or fr and not de-DE, en-GB etc.

The region is used as the dialect, e.g there's a difference between en-US and en-GB. The dialect can be used by the browser or other software. Shouldn't be removed at all.

Not sure what you are trying to achieve here but it is wrong

The lang attribute is made up made of hyphen-separated “language subtags”

If you want to have 2 letter codes only, you can use the languagecode plugin.
