[#366] - Notice prevents update check when error reporting is on

When error reporting is activated a notice appears in the ajax request that is trying to pull the information on whether an update is available or not. On my localhost this prevented the update to check from working properly since the response from the server then contains an error message along side with the JSON formatted response.

It is not for Joomla! CMS ;)
I have a fix for this and know exactly where to put it. Is this the wrong issue tracker? It's regarding Joomla CMS.
