Speaking to users at four different communities over the last month one of the issues about the trackers we all use is that people only look at the new issues. If an issue drops off the first page of the search results it can easily get forgotten.
Wouldn't it be cool if there was a "feeling lucky" button that randomly selected an open issue. This way if you have a spare moment to tackle an issue you can select this button and it wont matter if it is on the first or the fifth page of the results.
Due to the issue on 231 you cant see the edit which included the image of the ui - hopefully you can see it now

That would be an option but personally I would treat it like the google search "i'm feeling lucky" button in that when you click on the button it will directly open a random issue
Well that will not so hard to implement. How I imagine this process to myself:
IssueModel
3 Model executes some getRandomIssue() and returns the number of an open issueHow about we call it "Issues that need love" ;-)

Like that idea... but shorten it to "Feeling Lucky?"
but shorten it to "Feeling Lucky?"
![]()
Should getRandomIssue ensure that the issue is one that hasn't been replied
too or received a certain amount of attention? It would be unhelpful to
return a random issue that is getting a lot of attention already.

Sounds interesting. Can you elaborate a little bit more on UI?
