Hi, I am testing Joomla 3.2 to build a multilingual site (English, Chinese Simplified and Chinese Traditional). I followed the tutorials on web. The multilingual features work fine on Chrome but doesn't wok at all with IE and FireFox. At some point, I noticed that all Joomla GUI text labels had been prefixed and suffixed with two stars (). For example, the text label [Module Manager] would be displayed in browser as [Module Manager], GUI text label [User Note Categories] would be displayed as [User Note Categories]. Please note, I have said here: all Joomla GUI text labels are prefixed and suffixed with two stars(). Here the word "all" means "ALL", no exception.

I have captured the screen snapshots in a Word doc. If you need, I can forward to you.

Thanks,
Regards.

You most likely have the language debug mode enabled. Check your site's
global configuration for this and turn it off if need be.

Many thanks Michael for instant response. I turned the debug mode off and the ** are gone.

Best Regards,
Jacob

@jacobxue this is the issues for a Joomla Issues Tacker software not for a Joomla CMS ;) If Michael's answer did not work please ask your question at Forum [http://forum.joomla.org] or open new issue here. Thank you!
