First of all: Please migrate your issue tracking from joomlacode to github. The first is a mess.

It's very easy to create a pull request, just follow the instructions on github or read the docs on the joomla wiki.
Since this is a feature request (the vast majority people do not want to reveal real emails in contact form responses since they will just get spammed constantly so you would be adding a feature to make that configurable).

First of all: Please migrate your issue tracking from joomlacode to github. The first is a mess.
