Hi there,
its my first report, so please be tolerant, ifI will do some newbie mistakes.
My joomla installation is in german, so I hope I use the correct translations and correct joomla wording.
Steps to reproduce the issue
- login
- select content -> articles
- select featured articles (in the left menue)
- click on the little star (marked as featured), to unset the parameter featured => the complete acrticle list is shown now, not the featured articles only => the selection in the left menue is now on "article" and no longer "featured"
Expected result
list of featured articles are displayed only
Actual result
All articles are displayed, not featured only
System information (as much as possible)
Webserver-Version: Apache HTTPD 2.2.x
Datenbankserver-Version: MySQL 5.1.60
PHP Version: 5.3.29
Joomla: 3.3.6
Browser: FF 32.0.3 (Mac OS X 10.8.5)

It is not a enormous bug, but it irritates users.

Thanks for a great description of the issue and clear instructions how to repeat it.
I can confirm the issue. When you change the featured state of any article in com_content&view=featured you are redirected to com_content&view=articles
