Steps to reproduce the issue

Hi Community,

I have a very weird issue whereby I cannot upload images in the 'Images and Links' tab with Joomla.
This is Joomla 4.4.14 and I am using JCE latest (2.9.99.9).

So here's the funny bit. As the admin, I can use JCE and Tiny MCE and it works fine.
As the user facing the problem, I logged on using their account and tried. On a Mac, using Chrome, FF and Safari, I can upload the image no problem.

However, they cannot upload on their side. They sent me a video which I saw that, true, they cannot. The only thing difference is that they are on Windows.

So my dilemma here is understanding WHY it works on my Mac but does not work on Windows, yet, I am using the very same user account.
I was checkin THIS ready but no luck.

For now, I am uploading for them, but it is imperative I find a way for them to continue their own updates.

Thanks to advise if anyone has a clue on what could be the potential issue.

sounds like a permissions problem not a operating system problem - can you log in as them on your computer and upload images.

note that jce replaces the joomla media uploader so you must test with jce media plugin disabled. Otherwise your problem is with JCE not core joomla

Hi Brian, thank you for the update.
Yes as mentioned, I can log in as them and upload, no issue (but that is on my computer).

I will disable the JCE media uploader and see what happens. Will report back.
Thank you

On my computer, I can still upload actually. I have followed the thread below:
https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/support/forum/editor/102702-disable-one-click-upload

disabled the uploader (and also disabled the plugin as a whole) and was able to upload. However, whilst this may not be an OS issue, i still need to have the person test on their side so I will revert with findings soon. Thank you!

Just an update:

Was able to install WIN11 through Parallels desktop and tried replicating the issue. I was able to upload image via Edge (did not test chrome yet). So why / how this issue is happening with said client, is strange but I will have to check personally.
