Test steps:

  1. Create an "Articles" > "Category Blog" menu item.
  2. In "Options" set "Show Intro Text" to Hide

Before this proposed fix, this option won't hide the intro text of the articles.

Fixed when using Joomla default content (with Protostar template for example) and also when using Beez3

Sorry Tito I have no problem at all hiding the intro text of the articles using default install and protostar. Dont forget the introtext is ONLY hidden in the full article page - not in the blog page

Or am I misundertsanding you

I actually intended to hide it in the blog page, I guess it's a misunderstanding on my side then.

Yes the concept would be like a movie review web site. You use the intro text on the blog page which is a 3 sentence review of the movie. But when you go to the full article you hide that and just show the full movie review.

I shall close this

Can you check the tooltip in spanish and make sure it explains it as I described it. It is clear in english but maybe the spanish can be improved?

JGLOBAL_SHOW_INTRO_DESC="If set to Show, the Intro Text of the article will show when you drill down to the article. If set to Hide, only the part of the article after the "Read More" break will show."

Yeah it's self-explanatory as well.
It's the problem of not reading the small letters ;)

Thankfully it was just a 10-min thing
