Frontend editing creates duplicated edit links with icons on some menus. Seen in Joomla 5 and 6.
See attached screen shots.
Missing space between edit link and menu item.
I have made a suggested fix for the problem and I have attached screen shots to the pull request

The problem happens when menu item numbers are prefixes of other menu item numbers.
Example: item-3 is a prefix of item-34.
This results in item-34 getting an edit link for item-34 but also for item-3
Workaround: make a new menu item with a higher number which is not a prefix. Disable the low numbered item.
