I have tested this item ✅ successfully on 353d800

Tested on public https://joomla-test2.heikol.de with new database every test and manual installation:

• Installed from nightly build Joomla_5.4.0-alpha3-dev-Development-Full_Package.zip
  • On first 'Home Dashboard' visit, Notifications shows green 'Automated Updates are enabled'
  • On second and subsequent 'Home Dashboard' visits, Notifications shows yellow 'Automated Updates are disabled' and Automated Updates is not enabled
• Installed from Joomla_5.4.0-alpha3-dev+pr.45754-Development-Full_Package.zip
  • ✅ On first and subsquest 'Home Dashboard' visits, Notifications shows green 'Automated Updates are enabled' and Automated Updates is enabled

@muhme Yes, of course. I wanted to do that yesterday. But I'm currently stuck unpacking the J package. The hoster has been notified. But I'll be out and will try again later

Hmm ... Well, the zip was then OK, but after the installation process, I got a lot of error messages. It couldn't be completed... (:-

The problem is still with missing files.
So, it's about correctly unpacking the zip file.

Now I've finally done it. My site with the second Joomla installation (instructions) above. With Akeeba Kickstart (unzip). Unzipping wasn't possible via host (FTP).
But unfortunately, it's too late now.
