[#45707] - Warning on URL menu items

Steps to reproduce the issue

1/ Create a menu item "URL" type
2/ Set errors report to maximum in global config
3/ A warning shows up in the menu item (backend):

Deprecated: parse_str(): Passing null to parameter #1 ($string) of type string is deprecated in /home//*/administrator/components/com_menus/src/Helper/MenusHelper.php on line 76

Expected result

Shouldn't have any warning displayed here

Actual result

System information (as much as possible)

  • Joomla 5.3.1
  • PhP 8.1.31

Confirmed if the link url starts with index.php

correction - i can replicate this error on j5.4 and j6 if the url is just index.php

Entering an url that starts with 'index.php/' will fail on subpages - use '/index.php/xyz'
