Steps to reproduce the issue
Turn on: ENFORCE A SUFFIX by Redirect
Expected result
When switching to another language, on the main page was site/en
Actual result
site/en.html
System information (as much as possible)
Joomla! 5.2.3 Stable

Please fix that in multilingual sites on the main page so that .html is not added
