Steps to reproduce the issue

Create a Custom Admin Menu item and link it to Articles > List All Articles and define a specific category in there.
Click at this new Menu item you see a list of all Articles from this category,
Click on the default view where all Articles should be shown
It's still filtered by your custom category.

Similar thing happens to the column settings:
If you create a custom menu item for blogs and don't need the author there but you need the autor in other views these setting is always affecting all article views.
