Uncertain. it happens on occasion, i cannot pinpoint when exactly. When i occurs, the entire site is down, and after about 30 seconds it all works again

I am asking ISP for details, but problem still appears after Brians suggested fix. It seems J4 has different system requirements then proposed, if so we cannot be the only ones having this issue.
fix was, for now, and it seems to work, to set the connector to mysql instead of mysqli
