Steps to reproduce the issue
create multiple parent and child tags
Expected result
in the tags selection list, sorting takes parent and child dependencies
Actual result
in the tags selection list, sorting does not takes parent and child dependencies

everywhere. for example, when selecting tags when creating an article or when creating a category blog menu
Tried lots of different ways to replicate this issue and I can not
I didn't get to it, but I think I know the issue and would have a solution. I'll try to get this solved in the next 2 weeks.
now tried this issue in joomla 4.2.5 and didn't get it. but this issue started a few versions ago, so maybe if the tags were created before, then the issue remains relevant in new versions, if don't recreate the tags

If tag data entry is set to nested then the dropdown will be displayed as follows
if tag data entry is set to ajax then the dropdown will be displayed as follows (which is the order the tags were created)
For me there is no bug and it is working as intended
In which drop-down do you see this?
