Confirmed.
It's a bug in the italian language pack.

I submitted the corrections to the translation file, but i've not the permissions to approve the changes @HLeithner / @wilsonge

@jeckodevelopment there are quite a few lines in the contact language file that are wrong. Not just the one referred to here

about which language file do we talk? isn't this done by crowdin and this is done by the italian translation team?

@brianteeman i fixed several ones in the file. Hope I didn't miss any of them.
@HLeithner yes, in crowdin I couldn't approve any of the strings in Italian.

i have the same/similar issue - using Joomla in Front & backend French, 4.0.4.
I don't get any email sent, either to the contact inquestion of to myself when choosing CC:.

My bad, shouldn't search for bugs while trying to get the kids fed.
