Steps to reproduce the issue
- Create a module of type "Articles - Categories"
- Set it as published and also set a position but leave the "Parent Category" field empty.
- Save the module and you will see an error but no marked field.
Expected result
A clearly marked field that indicates where the errror is.
Actual result
No marked field

The valid/notvalid is on the wrong element so it is not displayed

The problem is still present - when you have a required category field and its empty then it doesnt get marked
You can still see this on User Notes

Confirmed. Same happens elsewhere with this widget - try Users -> Add Note (dont enter any data) -> Save...
