Steps to reproduce the issue

Disable animations in your OS.
Login to backend
Click on expandable menu item, e.g. Content.
Click on another expandable menu item, e.g. Components.

Save some item, e.g. an article, to generate an alert message.
Close the alert.

Expected result

Components menu expands.
Alert is closed properly.

Actual result

Components menu doesn't expand.
Blank space remains where alert was placed.

System information (as much as possible)

Waterfox and Edge latest.
