[#22842] - [4.0] Duplicate CSS for UI elements

Steps to reproduce the issue
For each UI element that has been moved to custom elements (alerts, tabs etc.), we are now maintaining 2 sets of CSS for the same element.
Expected result
Pick one, remove the other.

Can we actualy say we choose one as long as two are used?
Can we actualy say we choose one as long as two are used?
The idea was to use only one: the code from the custom elements. That was the plan, strip down Bootstrap since the community can't do without it!
Does anyone know what the plan is now? The Joomla 4 UI is a mess however it is difficult (and pointless) to devote time to it when there are 2 sets of code for it.

Is this still a relevant issue or has it been solved elsewhere?
Seems to be still valid at least for alerts.
media/vendor/joomla-custom-elements is still there with joomla-alert.css and joomla-tab.css.
