install joomla4 and #21745 to fix JS issue
Then edit an article and click Versions button
Versions modal loads, grey is in the background not over the top so that it can be used
grey blanket over the whole unusable page

This issue refers to incorrect overlay when in Articles: Edit. The other report (#20255 referenced above) is the incorrect overlay when viewed in Articles (i.e. the list of articles).
Anyway, it's still wrong in 4.0.0-alpha6-dev - as viewed on a subdomain of the Joomla demo via launch.joomla.com today:

Also - note that in the console.log there is a dump of a blank array - someone might have left a console.log call in code too?
