@brianteeman please not cloce or reopen this #21318 issue request for furteher colaboration
@rdeutz please not cloce or reopen this #21365 issue request for furteher colaboration
why not? This feature is already in the core of joomla but restricted to Back-end Joomla! users.
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
website frontend users can not communicate with each other by using a simple inbox/outbox, now ony admin can use this feature in backend

Describe the solution you'd like
Private Messaging System.
Let website users communicate with each other by using a simple inbox/outbox solution in Front-end.
Additional context
Now Private Messaging screen allows you to send messages to other Back-end Joomla! users. You may read, write, send, and delete messages here. In addition, you may also manage message settings and grouping options.
Maybe there is a way to allow all registered users to send private messages in front-end, but I still couldn't figure out how to do it in Joomla!

@Settingsw it's pointless to open several times the same "issue".
First of all, the best thing to do when suggesting a feature is to mark it as [RFC] = Request for Comments, it's a good approach to seek for feedbacks from the others users, stakeholders and maintainers.
That said, i saw that some maintainers answered your previous "issues" and as we saw, this feature has not been planned for Joomla 4. We can have different opinions on that, you think that it's a kind of "must-have" because you need it, differently, I can say that i've never used the messaging feature, neither the one in the backend. As you can guess, this might change especially due to the type of the site you're developing or maintaining.
In this stage of the development it's "hard" to include a completely new feature and since it has not been planned, it's also difficult to find the resources (also in terms of manpower) to develop such feature.
There are several extensions for that, as well as there are also integration with third-party services that provide instant messaging and can be easily implemented.
As far as i know it's not a very requested, must-have feature, given that also the need has not been highlighted over the past years.
But opening several times the same "issue" wouldn't make it more needed.
Closed for the reasons stated above

@Settingsw i understand that this Feature is important to you, that why this Issue is opened again. But to be honest: I think there is all said and you don't get any Step further.
So i beg you to accept things said in the other Threads and close this Issue by yourself.
Deal?
