My proposition : remove sidebar to add a jump list with a simplier select list
after-jump

admin list can be more cleaner, we keep 3 level in sidebar menu for compatibility

I'm no UI/UX person by any means but to be honest using a select list as a navigational element just seems wrong.

it different maybe select list isn't the solution but we need to consider this because we lost many space and add some information not realy necessary (we already select the good part in menu sidebar menu)

If it's within an existing navigational element then sure. A button floating around on its own as a navigation element though still doesn't feel right. Especially if you start considering accessibility.

Also, apparently there is no sidebar in the new template design so the action is to remove the sidebar and keep the menu functional for the page context.

please comment on the design and not the current implementation as it is
nowhere near complete

There are 2 PRs already for this in the 4.0-dev branch. Please close this issue and divert people to comment there?
