@MDunkleSr just following up on this. I am testing this with the latest from matser (https://github.com/joomla/joomla-cms), and it seems that the default administrator group can access global check-in, but not global configuration. Does that mean that this iss has been resolved?

@betweenbrain The files from the patch appear to have been applied to master branch. As such, the issue would be resolved on master. It doe not look like the patch has been applied to the 2.5.x branch - which was the original target of the fix. Can it be cross-applied there as well?

@MDunkleSr. Yes, the pull request at #946 was made against master indeed. Unfortunately, the patch can't be applied against the 2.5 branch as well. You would need to create a new pull request against the 2.5.x branch. This would need to be done for testing purposes a well so others can confirm the fix.

Having looked at the above tracker issue, I think that would be fine as it is still open and references 2.5.x. Please, just be sure to edit the description with updated links and add a note about what has changed so that those following the tracker item are notified via email. Thanks!
