[#8712] - Regression: Category (and elsewhere) hide Editor's buttons is broken

Test:
Edit a category.
The field in category.xml is

    <field
        name="description"
        type="editor"
        label="JGLOBAL_DESCRIPTION"
        description="COM_CATEGORIES_DESCRIPTION_DESC"
        filter="JComponentHelper::filterText"
        buttons="true"
        hide="readmore,pagebreak"/>

But the buttons ReadMore and Pagebreak display:
