Try again
Check also user modals in article edit (created by) and in contact edit (Linked User) that they still function like expected.

Please do same PR for Hathor
No problem. But do we need it there? I see the error message with and without change.
Indeed, it seems that clicking in Hathor on the No user button —in com_messages— does not close the modal as it does elsewhere.
The modal never closes in Hathor without clicking the close button even if you select a user.
Doesn't change when I change modal.php like in this PR.
I don't know how to fire a close via JS here.

Try to use the users modal for a Created by in an article, it does close auto.
@bertmert @infograf768 OK found the problem, it comes form tinyMCE and the modal close override. Please apply #8483 and test again!
