Steps to reproduce the issue

In the administration side create a new contact item
don't fill the Linked User and save

Expected result

the conctat item should be saved

Actual result

Error
Save failed with the following error: NULL value not allowed on user_id

System information

windows
PostgreSQL
Joomla 3.4.0.rc-dev
