Doesn't matter - if we say we support safari then we have to fix it

... and are you sure you're testing with Joomla! 3.6.6??

Of course, of course! It was just a bit of information intended to help in setting a right priority...
Disagree on having to fix this. It should first be determined whether this is a bug for Joomla or for Safari. Depending on the analysis it could be fixed in Joomla regardless whose bug it is. When it is a bug in Safari it should be reported as a bug with them. In that case a workaround would be a nice to have. A browser agnostic solution would be a nice to have. Would consider this a very low priority bug.
At a time where perfectly valid bugfixes are closed because of lack of interest, I am surprised to hear that this is something that has to be fixed!
Since Apple stopped Safari support for Windows about 2 years ago and will not publish any bugfixes anymore, this browser can be declared dead like IE5 from my perspective. I would close this bug report. Sorry @aasimali, but a browser that has been dropped by its developer can not really be supported by us. Besides that, it looks like this is an issue with Bootstrap and not with Joomla directly. This again brings up the issue that we are using an old version of BS, which also does not get any support anymore.
Which means that this needs to be updated https://docs.joomla.org/Joomla_Browser_Support
Yes. I would say that we either add "on MacOSX" to Safari or to raise the requirement to Safari 6 directly...
Hello All,
Can someone check this issue? #5455

@assimali please dont post requests to test completely unrelated topics
Mr. Brian,
I apologize, I did the post to test (#5455) that issue because nobody was interested to review that valid issue. But, I will make sure in the future that will not happen. I will not post the unrelated topics.
Have a happy weekend :)

@bakual @Hutchy68 I think @hackwar is right on this one and we should simply update the requirements page. No poinr in supporting a dead browser and wasting time fixing issues with it

Changed status to needs review so that we still have it open until the PLT decides about the recommendation for changing the supported browser version as stated above.

Closing as the doc page is updated with the following message:
Apple has dropped all support of MS Windows Safari starting with Safari 6. Browser compatibility with MS Windows Safari is not guaranteed. Please use a different browser or the Apple OS native Safari version. See this article for more information.
