Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Go to the installation process.
  2. Fill in the form of step 1 (configuration).
  3. Change language.

Expected result

After changing the language I expect the form to have the data I filled in.

Actual result

The form is cleared.

System information (as much as possible)

Joomla 3.3.6

But the option to change the language is the very first thing you are asked to do

I see what you're saying, but Brian is right - the "Select Language" is the first thing you do.
I don't personally start at the bottom of a form ever!

If you change the language, then the page is reloaded. We could reset the data with JavaScript (e.g. https://gist.github.com/zaus/4717416) but I don't think it is necessary here because you normally change the language first to understand what you have to enter! ;-)

IMHO this behavior is expected and this issue can be closed.
