               Log::add("Cannot access protected / private property $name of " . __CLASS__); 
        
           } else { 
        
               $this->$name = $value; 
        
           }

a logical error.
In these lines, the field value is assigned to the field object.
The error is that if the field exists, then an error is written to the Log, and if the field does not exist, then a value is assigned to a non-existent field.

I think it's necessary to fix the code on

 if (property_exists(__CLASS__, $name)) { 
     $this->$name = $value; 
 } else { 
     Log::add("Cannot access protected / private property $name of " . __CLASS__); 
 }
