Steps to reproduce the issue

Have a multilingual site with more then 2 languages at setup.
When updates on the languages appear in the extensions manager update, install them by the updater.
When done the components listing in the administrator shows 2 extra "components" :
pkg-lang-lang (where lang-lang are the actual language strings)

when you click these you get an 404. But they shouldn't be in there anyway.

Expected result

language updates not showing up in the components listing

Actual result

pkg-lang-lang shows up in the components listing , exceptscreen shot 2014-10-19 at 07 49 41 for english.

This is unrelated to multilanguage or language strings. It is an installer issue when updating a language pack at the same time as some components as Akeeba Backup.

@zero-24
Look at
#4499
(I have only experienced this with Akeeba components, but the issue is larger at reading Nicolas)

As discussed elsewhere we really need to rewrite the installer so that
only one thing is installed at anytime - it causes lots of issues not just
this one
