Audit finding
Currently selected menu is indicated by color alone
User impact
People with low vision or colour-vision deficiencies may not be able to perceive text, controls, focus states, or status indicators reliably.
Remediation plan
Update the shared design tokens, theme styles, and component states so the affected text, icons, indicators, and controls are perceivable in all supported states.
Steps to reproduce
6.1
Menu selection is indicated by a means other than solely a color change. Ensure a non-color way to indicate the current page. Use an icon or other indicator. Alternatively you can ensure that the contrast between non-current items and current items is more than 3∶1.
The current menu item is only indicated visually by using color alone.
