What happened?

A very interesting behaviour.

I created a filter in Smart Search and called it DOCS.

As we see, there are two categories selected.

And we get 3 items in the search result:

Now I disable the filter item:

But the result is the same - 3 items in the search result.

Now I deselect one category which is empty and no articles inside:

Have a look - the item is disabled.
I save it and get empty page:

But since the filter is disabled, there should not be any limitations and I am expecting to get articles from all the site that contains Joomla keyword (many of articles).

So, as we see, Smart Search operates with the filter item if even it is disabled.

Expected result

If the filter is disabled, the component should not operate with settings taken from disabled filter item.

Actual result

If I disable the filter, it takes no effect - the component continues operating with values from disabled filter item. I can change the settings in the filter and see changes on the front-end.

System Information

Joomla 6.1.1, PHP 8.4.22

Additional Comments

There is YOOtheme Pro with dynamic content and override for search result but it takes no sense since the result is the same in Cassiopeia.
I am a guest on the front-end (not logged in as a Super Administrator)
