I follow your steps having installed English and Spanish, the language switcher module shows only english with flags or language name,

Then I installed Portuguese from http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/jtranslation3_x/frs/?action=FrsReleaseBrowse&frs_package_id=6445, and the language switcher module only show English and Spanish.

Hi,
it's not a bug it's a misconfiguration, I don't have menu with spanish language selected by default, then the language switcher module not show spanish, now is ok.

greetings

Please can you do the following

  1. Go to the module manager and filter the list on administrator modules
  2. Find the multilingual status module that is currently unpublished and publish it
  3. Now in the bottom left of the screen there is a link to that module
  4. Click on that module and ensure that it is NOT reporting any errors

Yes, the problem was the language tag, must be set to the same tag as the one from the installed language.

That fixed the issue thanks
