Joomla is not displaying articles in preview (Frontend Link module) if the publishing date (Start Publishing) is bigger than the actual one (Error 404). Preview of the article should not depend on article publishing time.

You need to be logged in to see the preview in this situation. Thats why its a good idea to enable shared sessions in global configuration. This way when you log in to the admin you will be automatically logged in to the front end and preview etc will work as you expect

Enable "Shared Sessions" in Global Configuration > System > Session Settings works. Thank you.

In case this is not enabled, in the pop-up window (with error 404), there should be a message to enable "Shared Sessions" + hint on how to set up the "Shared Sessions" -> my suggestion is to add this to the next Joomla update.

Thats an interesting idea. Not sure if its achievable or not but it would certainly resolve a lot of user complaints
