@swallown As we are all interested in improving our all Joomla :) and in general this is a valid issue, I would like to draw your attention to the publicly accessible Bug Squad Meetings in addition to the suggestions already made. I could well imagine that direct exchange here could also be a good starting point to get further.

I appreciate your continued interest in getting this change into Joomla.
Before we can move forward, there are a few things that need to be addressed. The Pull Request template wasn’t filled out, and the code still doesn’t follow the project’s coding style requirements:

There were also several questions and points raised in the previous PR that haven’t been addressed yet:

At this stage, opening new PRs for the same issue without resolving these points makes it difficult for us to review them, and they’re likely to be closed again. A better next step would be to open an issue or start a discussion so we can talk through the use cases and figure out the best approach together.
