Steps to reproduce the issue

Have different categories: published, unpublished, archived, public and registered.
In all search plugin's the switch: Search Archived Content: YES

Expected result

Articles with archived categories are indexed.

Actual result

Articles with archived categories are NOT indexed.

System information (as much as possible)

Joomla 5.4.2

Additional comments

• When defining a filter, the archived categories and unpublished categories are not visible.
• Also in de database, table : finder_taxonomy, the archived categories and unpublished categories are not entered.
• As an experiment I modified administrator\components\com_finder\src\Indexer\Taxonomy.php
  line 123:
  if ($state != 1) {
  --> meaning $state: not published (1), thus unpublished or not archived (2)
  changed to
  if ($state == 0) {
  --> meaning $state: unpublished (0)

Now the archived categories are in the filter and table : finder_taxonomy

So the plugin's the switch: Search Archived Content: YES does not work properly
