[#46690] - "Remember me" on login does not work anymore

Steps to reproduce the issue
It seems that since Joomla 5.4 on one of my sites, the cookie "remember me" login does not work anymore. It was working for about 4 years before that.
- Login in to frontend with activated "remember me"
- Check if cookies are set
- joomla_remember_me_XXXXXXX
- joomla_user_state
- Close the browser and wait until the session life time is expired (Or reduce the value in your global configuration).
Expected result
- Open the browser again and open the website. you should be logged in automatically.
Actual result
- You have to login again.
check the error.log
There is an entry:

The client did more testing.
Probably it is a combination of local setup.
The homepage is menu type login page (this is an intranet).
When you came back, like a day later, you have to reload the site and then you are logged-in.
I think this is a specific use case.
I will close the issue.
