Spanish installation in recent Joomla versions doesn't offer the "MySQL (PDO)" database option:

$ grep ^MYSQL= installation/language/{en-US,fr-FR,es-ES}/joomla.ini
installation/language/en-US/joomla.ini:MYSQL="MySQL (PDO)"
installation/language/fr-FR/joomla.ini:MYSQL="MySQL (PDO)"
installation/language/es-ES/joomla.ini:MYSQL="MySQL"

The option is not missing. It's just a translation issue. You have either mysqli or mysqli(pdo)

I informed the translator for the Spanish language packs directly via Mattermost chat.
Alternatively, you can also suggest the desired change directly in crowdin @dhmartin

You have either mysqli or mysqli(pdo)

@brianteeman The latter should be "mysql (pdo)", without the "i".

@dhmartin I am closing this issue.
The translator has been informed and it is not an error that can be resolved directly in GitHub. The solution is via the Crowdin platform.
