Steps to reproduce the issue
Joomla 5.4 or 6.x.
Create any category and article.
Create a menu item for category you made.
Go to frontend and see your article.
Then unpublish it and try to access to unpablished article.

Expected result
Error 404 page.
Actual result
Error 500 page.
System information (as much as possible)
Joomla 5.4, Joomla 6.x
Additional comments
For com_contact works fine - error 404 for unpublished contacts.
