The screenshot shows the situation when the new Cassiopeia Extended child template is set by default. However, the keys aren't displayed in the frontend.

I'm not quite sure what important part you were referring to that was cut out. Let me know, and I'll take another look.
in the cut last line you see that tpl_cassiopeia has 3 lines, 2 which are red and one which is green, but the green line is unreadable and in this case maybe useful to know.
The child template needs to load the parent template language files which is done in the pr #46353 for the frontend, and #46518 fix your reported issue
