After reading this "closed" article - [6.0] Articles disappear when switching from Featured Articles to Articles #46212 - I was surprised that the subject was already closed.

I have a new Joomla! 6 site. I'm using the default template. I haven't even take the time to create a new template. I simply created 1 article for the front end.
I set the article as featured.

I completed the article, and as I was working on the page I was reviewing the front end. When I finished and "Save and Close" the article, I returned to the front end to refresh and see the finished product.
What I got after a refresh was - a blank, white page. Nothing.

I fiddled with it for a few minutes, but I had not set anything that would have made it disappear. I checked the "Access", Public in the article and the menu item.
I checked all the "Options" in the menu item and, although I had changed them to what I wanted, when I saw a blank page I reset everything to default. Still, a blank page.

I created a second article that was just writing to take up space, then set that page to Featured. It never appeared on the front end and I did not change any settings with that article. I only enabled Featured.

I then removed Featured from the main article, created a menu item for it, hit the page and there it was, just as expected.

So I enabled Featured, again, for that article and checked the home page. It was still blank.
Then I tried the same with the test article and got the same result - a blank page.

Obviously there is something with the Featured option that is hiding pages once they have been featured. But it only seems to hide the articles from the home page.
I suppose one could set up the site so the home page is not the home page, but an article. That sounds like a nightmare.

The original "Articles Disappear" was discussing how the pages were removed from the list of Featured Articles. But that has been fixed, apparently. The article that I have assigned as Featured appears in the list.

I did see, when looking through all the settings trying to understand what happened, that the date for the article to be published was at midnight tonight. I have no idea where it got that information. I never set the publish date for articles. But this date was there automatically. I changed the date when it should be published to more than 4 hours ago, but it made no difference.

The only thing I can imagine is that the date is "stuck", somehow, and even though I changed the date it had no effect. Perhaps there is something coded wrong in the date and how it is automatically added to an article.
If that's true, then if I just leave this site now and check tomorrow, and that article appears on the home page, then that is the answer.

Maybe it's a combination of the date and featured that is causing a conflict in the site.

I have only 2 articles in the site - it's that new. So if anybody wants to go in and tear things apart, be my guest. There is nothing you can hurt.

And, one thing I did not mention, but I can't see how this would relate, the site is a sub-domain, but I set it up so that it does not have the primary domain as part of the URL. It's TAGarrison.com
You'll quickly see it's a default installation.

I've been around since Joomla! was Mambo. So it's not like I'm a newbie. But maybe I'm just too used to my ways and missed something really stupid simple.

See #46374 . You can already test it with Joomla! 6.0.1 Release Candidate 1.

Closing as already fixed. Feel free to re-open if that is wrong.

I just now figured out "where" the problem lies. So I'm guessing you figured out that it's with the "Category" selection in the menu item. When "All Categories" is selected, nothing appears. When "All Categories" plus the category to which the article is assigned, then the page appears. So as long as the category to which the article is assigned is selected in the menu item then the page will appear normally.
I'll see if I can get 6.01 and move on. Thanks, Brian.

Yes that's exactly the problem
