Joomla 5 and 6 both have an option to enable a Backwards Compatibility Plugin which is helpful especially in the early days of Joomla 5 and Joomla 6 whether upgrading or building a new website.
Once the website is built and running normally, it is easy to forget that the Backwards Compatibility Plugin is still enabled which can cause a number of issues including slower performance and potentially a greater effort required when upgrading to the next version of Joomla.
Joomla 1.5 included a "System - Legacy" plugin similar to the Joomla 5 and Joomla 6 Backwards Compatibility Plugins and included a "Legacy 1.0" indicator in the Joomla toolbar when the plugin was enabled (see below).
Can a "B/C Plugin Enabled" indicator be included in the Joomla 5 and Joomla 6 toolbar to remind Joomla website administrators that their website is not running optimally?

This has discusses in the so called maintainer's Wednesday meeting and we came to the conclusion that it's not useful on a daily base when using your site.
We have it in the update component and on the system information page.
Good idea
