Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. In Global Configuration, set the Default List Limit to 200 or 500.
  2. Go to the view "All Tags List" in the frontend.

Expected result

  • The list should display the selected number of items (200 or 500).
  • All tags should be listed accordingly.

Actual result

  • The global Default List Limit setting is not applied in the All Tags view when using higher values like 200 or 500.
  • Instead, the list always falls back to 5 items.
  • With other values (e.g. 100), the setting works correctly.

System information (as much as possible)

tested and founded in:
Joomla 5.3.3
Joomla 5.4 RC
Joomla 6 RC (tested in release candidates)

Additional comments

A global "All" option is missing, similar to the one available in the individual menu item settings for the All Tags view.

I can't replicate your issue:

Image

Global Configuration set to 200, logged out (to reset session specific selection), login again, see 7 entries and 200 is selected as limit. Same is true for 500.

It's expected behavior das we have not a "All" in the global setting. Can't say 100% way but would expect that you can kill your webserver if this is the default setting and you can't change it for a specific list view if it breaks the page loading.

The problem is in the frontend. I forgot this information.

Are you sure that it is in 5.3.3? It works for me correctly in 5.3.3, I can confirm your issue in 5.4
