I have an issue with Pashto Languagepack on my multilanguage site. As soon as i try to create a Category or create an article with the Pashto Language set, i get the following Error:
Sorry, there was a problem we could not recover from.
The server returned a "500 - Whoops, looks like something went wrong."
i cleared the cache, reinstalled it and updated it.
i already have the site in 6 other languages and never had an issue like this
Nothing i tried worked so far.

@derGrinch69 Which Joomla version? And which version of the language pack?
Besides this, errors on translations (language packs) should be reported to the corresponding translation team coordinator. Their contacts can be found at the download page. Assuming it's for Joomla 5 it is this page here: https://downloads.joomla.org/language-packs/translations-joomla5
This happens on the latest Joomla 5.x Version with the latest version of the languagepack
I already posted it in the joomla forum under languages and one of the translation team coordinator replied the following:
"I just tested your case with the Pashto language pack. I confirm the issue you have encountered.
My investigation revealed that the abstract class name defined in the file localise.php is not correct. Currently, the abstract class name is defined as En_GBLocalise. This must be Ps_AFLocalise.
I would suggest to edit both the files named localise.php that are located in the directory \administrator\language\ps-AF as well as in the directory \language\ps-AF.
Change the string (ie abstract class name) from En_GBLocalise to Ps_AFLocalise.
This should resolve the issue you are having."
I think this is not a translation error.

Set error reporting to "maximum" in Global configuration. On next error it should show you full error stack trace.
Please copy it here.

@derGrinch69 Not a translation error, but still an error in the language pack and not in the CMS core, as the "localise.php" files in the "administrator\language\ps-AF" and the "language\ps-AF" folders are provided by the language pack and not the core.

I was told to report this here, so i did :)
@derGrinch69 Then please follow @Fedik 's recommendation above:

Please try to contact the Team Coordinator: Abdel Malek Parhiz malek.p@hotmail.com
If the package doesn't work at all, I would delete it from the site: https://downloads.joomla.org/language-packs/translations-joomla5/downloads/joomla5-pashto-afghanistan
@tecpromotion the package is wrong and can not work because of the problem already described by @derGrinch69
The last language pack for Pashto was released on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 9:26 p.m. for Joomla 5.0.1
I have to assume that the translator is no longer active.
I see several possibilities here:
The last language pack for Pashto was released on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 9:26 p.m. for Joomla 5.0.1 I have to assume that the translator is no longer active.
I see several possibilities here:
* Either fix the error yourself—it should be “Ps_AFLocalise”—and build your own package. * Fix the error in Crowdin and most likely translate many more strings and create a language pack for 5.4. * We find a new and active team coordinator for the language pack.
As it seems i have to fix it myself. But the pashto Languagepack gets updates almost daily, so i assumed it is activly translated and cared about.
I could live with some parts not translated since we have some translators in the NGO i work for. But translating the whole package is not in the budget. i already wasted a lot of time with my somali language pack.
Thank you anyway for your support.
I have been on crowdin today and it seemed to me the issue was either alread corrected or the changes never made it to the final downloadversion. Since today i already made the changes locally (including changin it to RTL which i changed on Crowdin) i havent downloaded the last version of the pashto languagepack i cannot tell if it is solved. i will install a new joomla and try out in the next days.
I actually would prefer not to have hardcode stuff in a project where i might not be the only one messing around.
I contacted the translator again today via Crowdin and asked them to publish a package for 5.3.4 next week. This issue can be closed, correct?
Thank you!
In this case the isaue can be closed!
best regards E.
