Steps to reproduce the issue

Using the the Module: Article we can display articles by Category (under filtering options) but we cannot control how many articles appear for each category, unless . . .

Expected result

. . . we identify an article as 'Featured'

Actual result

System information (as much as possible)

Joomla 5.3.0
PHP 8.2

Additional comments

It would be nice if we could select how many articles to display for a category (ie: 1 for the most current) instead of manually marking them as 'Featured'

did you mean grouping options not filtering options

Image

And just to be clear you want to be able to have x number of articles per category as opposed to the current setting which is number of articles in total

Not sure where it should go but the 'control' should allow us to set the number of articles to display per category. Right now the default is all the articles in a category, unless I set each individual article for a category to 'featured'.

Tp clarify, we use the Module: Article to publish the most current article for each of the 7 categories on the site. It would be nice if we could configure it so that only the most (1) current article for each category would appear. Or set it to 2, 0r 3 of the mst current articles for each category.
