That all tags are present when I type in the search box
Not all tags appear, even if I wait a few seconds (or minutes).

It works fine. I see the structure as I created it on the component Tags, parents and children.
I also don't notice any slowdown, so I think I'll leave the setting on nested.
Hi, I’d love to contribute to this issue. Is it still available? If so, I’d be happy to work on a fix. Looking forward to your guidance. Thanks!

@fgsw The problem with ajax active is not solved. To bypass it without changing the code you need to disable ajax.
Looking forward to your guidance.
@Kailas54 The number of tags that ajax can load should be increased, I have 350 but someone else may have 1000, there should be no limit or at least I would like to have the possibility to decide among the options how many entries it can load, at my peril. At this point I wonder what is the point of keeping ajax for this component that works perfectly (even better) without ajax.
I tried to reproduce this with Ajax Tag Entry Mode enabled but could not trigger the issue, tag search seems to work as expected on my end.
could you confirm whether this is still reproducible on recent Joomla versions? If yes, any additional details about the setup (eg multilingual configuration, specific view or module, dataset size) would help narrow it down
What happens when you change it to nested? I seem to remember that the Ajax mode is limited in the number of tags it will display
