Steps to reproduce the issue

Visual tree menu assignment for site modules

Administrator / Content / Site Modules
On tab 'Menu Assignment' you can assign the module to menu-items

The visual display of menu items in the tree view is confusing. If a menu item has subitems, there is a ‘select-unselect box’ in front of the menu item. This shifts a menu item to the right if it gets submenu items and makes it appear as if this menu item drops one level. Menu items at the same level are thus in different columns depending on whether they have submenu items or not.

Expected result

Menu items on same level always shown in same column

Actual result

Menu items at the same level are thus in different columns depending on whether they have submenu items or not.

Image

Menu items 'Home', '2025' and 'Nieuws' are all on same level 0, but due to the 'select-unselectbox' not in same column

Would it help if the checkbox was always first and the chevron afterwards

"Would it help if the checkbox was always first and the chevron afterwards"

Yes probably. Important that all menu-items at same level are in same vertical column/line
